Speaker John Boehner said yesterday that he gets along with the President but they’re not on the same wavelength.

The House of Representatives, under the control of the Tea Party Republicans, voted 238 to 186 today to pass the bill that makes it easier for companies to outsource American jobs, H.R. 2587.  Shame on them.  The fight now goes to the U.S. Senate.

 

This morning, the House is debating a Republican bill to strip away the workplace rights of America's workers, paving the way for more outsourcing of American jobs.  I am leading the opposition to this bill in Congress.  If you are interested, you can follow the debate on C-Span online, or on TV.

Congressman George Miller announced today he will be running for re-election to Congress in 2012 in what will be the 11th congressional district created by the independent redistricting commission, the district that encompasses most of Contra Costa County.
