George Miller for Congress

I support the DISCLOSE Act to begin to curb the influence of super-sized secret money in our elections that the Bush Supreme Court unleashed. The Act requires:

-- SUPER PACs, corporations, and other outside groups to stand by their TV and other ads; corporations and other outside groups to disclose their campaign expenditures to their shareholders and members, and; lobbyists to disclose their campaign expenditures.

It’s not everything we need to do to restore power to the people but it is a necessary and important first step to start to reduce the outsized influence of special interest money in politics.
